What is the SodaStream machine?

The SodaStream Machine/Home carbonating system is a neat machine where you can make your own carbonated beverages right in your own home using water right out of the tap!

Its always fun to get a new box in the mail with a neat new product to try. My daughter had been noticing the SodaStream machine for a while and was very happy that we received the machine in our home.

The SodaStream machine we recieved came with a variety of full size flavor samples to taste including rapsberry, cola, lemon, rootbeer, as well as a twelve pack sampler.

The SodaStream Machine also came with a CO2/carbonating container and two carbonating bottles, to carbonate water right out of the tap at home.

The first thing I noticed was that the SodaStream Machine is very user friendly. The SodaStream Genesis/G100 machine is easy to put together and easy to use.

The user manual is user friendly and also in a variety of languages with pictures demonstrating how to put the machine together.
The Genesis G100 Machine we received was in three parts that we were able to put to together in minutes. The CO2 container attaches to the top part of the machine and is hidden inside the stand after the machine is put together.

Fun Time!

The fun time is making the beverages at home!

We filled our two carbonating bottles with water and chilled them in the refrigerator.

The carbonating bottle attaches directly to the machine according to instructions.

After you attach the bottle to the machine according to the instructions, press the button to release the CO2 into the bottle of water and fizz according to preference.

Pick your flavor of sodamix and put a capful of the flavor into your carbonated water.

Outcome: A delicious beverage that has less sugar than the store bought brands because SodaStream sodamixes are sweetened with sucrose, pure cane sugar and not high fructose corn syrup like the store bought brands.

All the flavors were good but our favorite flavor is Rootbeer :)

The SodaStream machine is easy to care for as well. Use a cloth with lukewarm water to wipe clean.

The carbonating bottles are cleaned with warm soapy water and a bottle brush.

Carbonating bottles will carbonate 60 or 130 liters of water depending on the size.

Carbonating bottles can be refilled at any participating SodaStream retailer or on SodaStream.com.

  1. Great review. I reviewed a Soda Stream in the past, but it was a different model. So far my favorite is rootbeer also.

  3. Great review! I love the step-by-step pictures. I could have used that when I was trying to figure mine out - the hubby got to it before I did and the instructions were nowhere to be found when I went to make my soda. LOL! I love my SodaStream and I have to agree, the rootbeer has been my favorite so far as well.
